From behind, push the back through the piercing. From the front, insert the pin (the post) a third of the way into the back

For a tighter fit, bend the pin slightly
Step 3
Press the pieces together. This straightens the pin inside the back, creating a tension-held fit.
Step 4
To remove, pull both components in opposite direction. Add a slight twisting motion if the fit is tight.
